Club meeting minutes 23rd January 2012
Meeting opened at 7pm
Present; Andrew Wood, Jeff Rosemergy, Jan Gilby, Mike Todd, Karen Tyrrell, Rachel Cooke.
Apologies ; Aaron Clulow, Truman Wee, Ping S’Ng, Jess Gilby-Todd, Tom Gilby- Todd, Stefan Scott
Matters arising:
Trophies still to be engraved. Andrew to deliver trophies r to engravers and Jeff to pay for this.
There has not been any response from WHA to the letter that Andrew sent with regard to fees still “owing” from last season.
Teams for the coming season were discussed
Kaz has potentially several new players (school students) so there is a definite potential for 2 teams.
Coaching was discussed - Bruce Burroughs is to be approached to see if he is interested .... it is thought he may be more interested in the 3rd Grade team.
Kaz will do a scoping exercise and check out potential coach and players.
Muster Dates;
Jan to check with WHA re other muster times/ dates.
Premier mens pre season training is already underway--- Jan to get this added to Website and use Matt Luxford as contact for this.
Suggested muster date is Sunday 25th February details to be given as 3-5pm followed by a barbeque. Hire of the turf to be from 4-5pm
Once all confirmed Jan will get details added to WHA website and t Aaron to add to Suburbs website.

Bruce Winders has kindly agreed to audit the club books and they will be delivered to him asap.
Fund raising discussed.
Andrew is aware of a deal with Dominos pizzas in Rototuna.... he will book a night when $1 from every pizza sold comes to the club.
Quiz nights will be arranged to generate funds but also to encourage socialising.
Sharn will arrange sponsorship from The Cook.
There was some discussion about uniforms and socks in particular.
Jeff to investigate (with Truman) the possibility of buying ? 100 pairs of club socks to be sold at a small profit to every player.
Andrew to check out how fees are broken down at Old Boys. uniform and umpire levy added.
AGM and committee meeting to be held at the WHA on Monday 12th March- Jan to check if room available and to ensure advertisement is put in Waikato Times.
