Club History

Suburbs Piako Hockey Club has changed dramatically from its origins as Glenview Hockey Club through various mergers and acquisitions.

Originally, there were two rounds of hockey on a Saturday, with the four premier teams playing one game at either 1pm or 3pm, with an after match function always provided. Men’s games were always played at Glenview park, giving Suburbs a strong foundation, as games were always on home ground.
